U.S. Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, D-6th of Easttown, on Tuesday submitted her ballot access petitions to the Pennsylvania Department of State to be placed on the May primary ballot. Included were over 3,900 petition signatures, nearly four times the 1,000-signature requirement to qualify for the ballot.
In conjunction with the submission, Congresswoman Houlahan issued the following statement:
“I am exceedingly grateful to the supporters, activists, Committee People, and Party leaders across Chester and Berks counties who worked tirelessly over the past few weeks to secure over 3,900 signatures. Working families in our community know that I have their backs, as I work across the aisle to lower costs, ensure world-class education for every child, and secure democracy at home and abroad. I’m deeply proud to know that they have my back here at home. I look forward to building on our enthusiasm to secure victory this November.”
